We are part of the global Sofidel Group, a company with a strong international presence and dedication to responsible growth.Sofidel America is seeking an EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives across the organization. This role works closely with the Director of EHS and site leadership to assist with compliance, reporting, program implementation, and continuous improvement efforts, while supporting Sofidel’s commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.The EHS Specialist reports to the Director of EHS and supports the development and implementation of programs in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ISO 45001:2018 standards.Key Responsibilities:Support the Director of EHS in implementing strategies to reduce risk and enhance workplace safety.Assist in tracking and monitoring key performance metrics to measure EHS program effectiveness.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance and standardize EHS programs.Assist with EHS audits, assessments, and documentation management.Support ISO compliance efforts, including training coordination and document control.Identify gaps in EHS procedures and recommend improvements.Promote a positive EHS culture through communication and employee engagement.Compile and analyze data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Provide support to site-level EHS personnel as needed.Model safe work practices and reinforce compliance with company policies.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field (or equivalent education/experience).Minimum 3 years of experience in health, safety, or environmental roles, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of ISO standards and compliance management systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to travel up to 25%.Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures, paper dust, and noise levels.Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye and ear protection, and reflective vests.Why Join Sofidel America?Competitive compensationProfessional and safe work environmentComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match and access to a financial advisorPaid vacation and time off to support work-life balanceOngoing professional training and developmentEqual Opportunity Employer: Sofidel Tissue is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
