Environmental Laborer Apply
We are seeking a laborer for our Remedial Construction group located in Ballston Spa, NY. Duties for this full-time position include assisting a lead person on installations, operations and maintenance of a variety of water and air pumping systems related to groundwater remediation systems. This includes but is not limited to soil vapor extraction, air sparge, hi vacuum/dual phase extraction, oxygen injection and product recovery. Additional duties include installation and decommissioning of systems, performance of pilot tests, site inspections, basic plumbing and electrical, along with mechanical construction tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead technician with all remediation system operations, including all listed in the Job Overview section.
- Assist in maintenance of all support vehicles and company equipment.
- Loading and unloading supplies for daily activities.
- Operation of miscellaneous equipment such as jackhammers, generators, pumps, pressure washers, etc.
- Work on environmental & geotech drill rigs
- Ability to work outdoors assisting operations in all weather conditions.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 80 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned by the lead technician.
Requirements
- Some mechanical and electrical aptitude and desire to troubleshoot equipment a plus.
- Valid NYS driver license.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 80 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors assisting drill rig operations in all weather conditions year-round.
- Electrical, plumbing and construction experience a PLUS.
- 10 hr. and 40 hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required because we can provide training.
- OSHA 10 hr. or 30 hr. construction safety training preferred, but not required, we can provide training.
Salary Range: $20-$22/hr.
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
