We are hiring an Environmental Program Specialist for one of our clients in Trenton, NJ.

Job Description:

  • Assists Public Water Systems with complying with Federal & State Safe Drinking Water Act standards & requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of reports and evaluation of drinking water sample results
  • Respond to water system and general public inquiries (oral and written).
  • Evaluate and track changes in water system inventories (sources and treatments)
  • Research regulatory requirements and implementation.
  • Evaluate and issue drinking water certifications to child cares.
  • Manage various special projects and assignments supporting the section's overall operations.
  • Perform routine and repetitive data entry; does other related duties as required.
  • Provide information according to department regulations, in person and by telephone.
  • Answer the telephone accurately & professionally.
  • Operate office machines and equipment.
  • Will be required to learn various types of office programs & software necessary to perform duties.

Skills required:

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, or other data processing applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Strong communication and writing, data management and organizational skills are required.

Education required:

  • Degree in environmental science, chemistry, biology, marine science, public health or other related major

Working Hours:

  • 8:30 am 4:00pm
  • Lunch period: 30 minutes
