Conducts site inspections, sampling, and equipment operation and maintenance. Supports National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit reporting and monitoring
Essential Job Duties
- Performs construction site inspection to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Reviews plans, permits, and encroachment reviews and communicates necessary revisions to the appropriate party
- Manages maintenance contract
- Responds to and assesses drainage complaints from residents
- Collaborates with various stakeholders to achieve compliance and environmental program goals
- Maintains and updates databases and records regarding compliance and corrective actions
- Inspects and takes samples as needed from storm water outfalls
- Assists in the calibration of troubleshooting analytical and field equipment
- Assists with periodic inspections of City facilities for stormwater compliance
- Performs related work as required.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field and
- Three to five years of experience in coordinating environmental compliance activities or
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population
- Obtain EnviroCert International Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) within three years of employment
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Contract management or project management experience

Monday- Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm
