Job Title: Epicor Kinetic Techno-Functional Consultant
Summary
We're seeking an experienced Epicor Kinetic (version 2025.1) consultant to lead targeted configuration, enablement/disablement of features, customizations, and documentation/training for our finance and operations teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise across Kinetic modules (Finance, Quote, Production), understands GL and BOM data structures, and can quickly implement front-end changes, BPMs/BAQs/Dashboards, and Application Studio customizations while working onsite with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Finance & Data Architecture
- Review and work with GL and BOM tables; validate data relationships and reporting impacts.
- Advise and adjust Finance setup in Kinetic (Chart of Accounts, Fiscal Calendars, Posting Rules, Tax setup, etc.).
- Feature Enablement/Disablement & UI Controls
- Disable visibility of labor rate and burden rate in applicable trackers.
- Disable the Tax Y/N popup in Quote Entry.
- Enable/disable features across Kinetic modules via front-end configuration (Menu Maintenance, User Security, Process Settings).
- Front-End Customization
- Customize the Home Page by department (cards, tiles, KPIs, dashboards).
- Define default configurations per role (personalization, layouts, navigation, security groups).
- Automation & Reporting
- Design and implement BPMs (Business Process Management), BAQs (Business Activity Queries), Dashboards, and Application Studio customizations to support business workflows.
- Ensure changes are version-controlled and aligned with best practices.
- Documentation & Training
- Produce clear documentation for all configurations and customizations (solution design, deployment steps, rollback plans).
- Deliver role-based training and quick reference guides for end-users and admins.
- Provide knowledge transfer to IT for ongoing support.
- Governance & Quality
- Adhere to change management processes, maintain test scripts, and conduct UAT sessions.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to prioritize tasks and meet deliverables within the 2 to 3-month timeline.
Required Skills
- 5+ years working with Epicor ERP/Kinetic, with direct experience in version 2025.1 (or recent Kinetic releases with demonstrable upgrade knowledge).
- Strong understanding of GL and BOM tables and overall Kinetic database architecture.
- Proven ability to disable/enable module features via front-end and security/settings (e.g., trackers, Quote Entry prompts).
- Hands-on expertise with BPMs, BAQs, Dashboards, Application Studio.
- Experience customizing home pages by department and default configurations per role.
- Solid knowledge of Finance setup (COA, posting rules, tax configuration, fiscal calendars).
- Strong documentation skills: ability to develop and deliver user/admin training.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
