Job Title: Equipment Engineer - Blades
Location: Fort Madison, IA
Duration: 6 Months+ CTH
Years of Experience: 8+ Yrs.
Required Hours/Week: 40hrs./Week
Job Requirements:
  • Creation of specifications of the needed industrial /lifting equipment and machinery for the onshore wind turbine blade factory in USA, understanding the local rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams internally as well as with supplier to comply procurement process, facilitate commissioning, validation, handover of the equipment to blade factory.
  • Ensure successful the installation of new machinery in the factory following the customer standards
  • Assume ownership of on time delivery with expected quality and cost.
  • Travel domestically or internationally to customer factories or supplier locations based on project need (approximately 10-15%)
Expected Deliverables:
  • Product Requirement Specifications (PRS), Validation reports, like Factory acceptance test (FAT), Site acceptance test (SAT) and theory of constrains (TOC)
Work Experience:
  • Mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineer with more than 5 years of experience in blade manufacturing projects or other heavy industries.
  • Expertise in industrial/lifting equipment and machinery (pneumatical, hydraulics, and electrics) is a must.
  • Candidate with CE marking and machinery directive knowledge or the US equivalent legislation UL, ASME etc. are preferred
  • Software skills like MS office, Jira, exposure to CAD/PLM tools like NX & Team center, FEA/structural calculations are advantage
  • Candidate should possess good interpersonal skill with excellent communication skills in English.
