We are looking for relevant to semiconductor/MEMS industry exprs . Relevant tools/tool vendors/processes: etch, deposition, ALS, gas systems, epitaxy vendors: Plasmatherm, Oxford, Veeco, AMAT etc. As mentioned more direct hands on equipment fixing than processing experience is needed.

Overview:
Responsibilities:
Equipment engineering related services that span the nanofabrication and post processing/packaging toolset including but not limited to lithography and patterning, cleaning, deposition, etch, metrology and simulation, adhesive dispensing, and chip mounting/bonding.
Engineer will be accountable for tools and related metrics, but overall metric goal setting and vendor relationship is owned by client engineer
Perform preventative maintenance operations on equipment following SOPs and general equipment best practices
Schedule maintenance activities with vendors
Conduct repair activities on equipment in collaboration with equipment engineering team, process engineering team and vendors as required
Document all repair and PM activity
Support maintenance of technical systems and repair activities on tools especially cleanroom devices
Support root cause analysis of tool failures
Support log data for tool uptime and utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement for tool availability including MES
Attend shift passdown meetings
Perform or support installation and upgrades of tools and systems
Perform basic clean room materials operations and logistics, as specified, including but not limited to handling of chemicals, gasses, supplies.
Train new team members as needed
Prepare and maintain SOPs
Work with facilities to support area maintenance and upkeep
Support workstation safety and cleanliness
Skills:
Experience in Equipment Engineering, Maintenance or Process Engineering or similar field
Understanding of SPC methods
Candidates must have at least a bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience combined with education in nano-/micro-fabrication and semiconductor processing
Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others
Experience navigating and operating computers and machine interface
Willing to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials
Capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires physical activities which includes: lifting parts, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting, etc. Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
Preferred Skills:
The ideal candidate will have direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment
Understanding of high vacuum theory and equipment maintenance
Mechanical, electrical, thermal, pneumatics, and troubleshooting skills
Experience with chemical handling & disposal protocols.
