To learn more about our dynamic, stable and growing company, visit Position Summary The ERP Support Engineer is a key member of the Continuous Improvement Team. They are primarily responsible for supporting the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP system within Balchem; however, will need to work with supporting technologies as well. The position will be the initial point of contact for troubleshooting, supporting and reviewing requests for Dynamics 365 and related ERP functions. The ability to recognize and escalate priority issues and translate technical terms into non-technical language is critical to the success of this role. Responsibilities for the position include problem resolution, documentation, tracking and the monitoring of issues to ensure timely resolution and make recommendations for the continuous improvement of the ERP system. The position will also work with the IT department as well as other departments to ensure ERP-related projects are completed and, at times, may also need to manage projects from start to finish. Essential Functions Follow all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards. Participate in weekly team safety talk discussion. Serve as the primary contact for D365-related questions, concerns, requests, and changes. Manage, track, and resolve D365 support tickets and user requests. Assist in the integration of acquired companies, focusing on D365 setups, training, and process alignment. Collaborate with IT and business teams to maintain and enhance D365 systems. Assess required changes within D365 and understand business impacts across the organization. Investigate D365 user issues, identify root cause, determine solutions, test, implement, and document resolutions. Work with other departments and users to ensure that ERP requests & needs are being met. Assist in the development of ERP Service Management processes and the improvement to service delivery. Manage and escalate urgent D365 support issues to appropriate subject matter experts Review progress of D365 tickets to ensure timely and effective user support. Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and enhance D365 functionality. Research and evaluate end-user requirements to recommend D365 system technologies that support business needs. Provide D365 training and create user guides for staff. Monitor D365 system performance and proactively address issues. Support testing and deployment of D365 updates, features, and enhancements. Ensure D365 operations comply with data security, regulatory, and Sarbanes-Oxley standards. Participate in D365-related projects and process improvements. Other duties as assigned. Requirements BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology OR AS Degree with 2-4 years of experience. Microsoft professional certifications preferred. ERP Support experience; Preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Knowledge of fundamental business process’ Solid experience in day-to-day ERP administration, including system performance monitoring, issues resolution, and user support. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and abilities, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Skills at organizing resources and establishing priorities. Knowledge of computing and networking hardware and peripheral equipment. Ability to learn, install, configure and maintain various computer system hardware and software. Knowledge of internal IT audit, SOX procedures, and data security and regulatory compliance standards. Ability to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement system improvements. Work involves extensive use of a computer or laptop. Some lifting and carrying of equipment required up to 40 pounds. Occasional travel between locations and remote sites may be required Most work is performed inside in a normal office environment. Some work will be performed in an environmentally controlled server room. Some work may be performed on the factory floor Responsibilities may require weekend or late evening work in response to the needs of the systems being supported.
