We are searching for a highly motivated, high-integrity Escrow Branch Manager to provide decisive leadership and drive market growth for our La Quinta operation. This is a critical dual-role position, requiring an accomplished leader who can manage all aspects of branch profitability and team development while personally handling complex closings for our most valued real estate partners.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Hold ultimate responsibility for the operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall profitability of the branch.
- Collaborate with Sales and Senior Leadership to significantly increase revenue, optimize expenses, and expand our third-party market share and partnership capture rates.
- Manage, coach, and mentor branch staff, fostering a culture of high performance, proactive problem resolution, and exceptional customer care. Actively participate in the recruitment of new escrow professionals.
- Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with key clients to generate new escrows and proactively grow the branch's overall volume.
- Ensure the branch and all staff are current on new company and industry policies, with strict adherence to California's escrow and title regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Escrow Execution Excellence
The Branch Manager is expected to either directly execute or closely supervise the full spectrum of escrow and closing duties for complex files, including:
- Manage files from initial receipt of buyer deposits through full disbursement, ensuring meticulous execution of every step.
- Review sales contracts, order demands, process title reports, and work directly with the Title department to clear all complex exceptions.
- Prepare all escrow instructions, estimated statements, and transfer documents. Manage or personally handle signing appointments for buyers and sellers.
- Implement and enforce a rigorous "double audit" process for all closing figures to ensure accuracy before final balancing and disbursement.
- Prepare files for funding, order hazard insurance, balance, close the file, and manage the recording process.
- Serve as the central communication point, providing parties with immediate and proactive notifications, including weekly transaction progress reports to agents.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years' experience in a high-volume Escrow Officer role, with a minimum of 2 years of direct Escrow Branch or Team Management experience.
- Deep functional knowledge and proven success in California escrow and title procedures and best practices.
- Exceptional ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents. Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
- Demonstrably strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualification
- Holds an existing portable book of business is highly desired and will be reflected in a negotiable compensation package.
