Estimating Administrator Apply
CLASSIFICATION PURPOSE:
This non-exempt job classification is responsible for completing the pre-qualification process associated with project estimates, maintaining all appropriate databases, and demonstrating sufficient detail related to documentation, customer contact, and computer usage; performs other work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Provides support to the estimating and bidding procedures;
- Completes the pre-qualification process;
- Completes the Bid Proposal Form, Bid Form, and Bid packages;
- Maintains relevant client databases containing information on client references and client contacts;
- Faxes the scope letter and bid proposal to the prospective client on time;
- Keeps all confirmation receipts verifying process documentation;
- Meets all established deadlines;
- Completes all work accurately;
- Demonstrates proficiency across an array of computer applications (e.g., MS Office especially Outlook, Word, and Excel, ZetaFax, Bid Schedule, American Contractor, and Google Browser);Performs e-mail distribution correctly;
- Maintains the Plan Holder List by gathering, calling, and updating information as appropriate;
- Demonstrates good attendance;Attends meetings;
- Maintains all files, records, and documentation in a well-organized fashion;
- Communicates well with others;
- Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette (e.g., receiving calls and calling bidders);
- Maintains composure while multi-tasking;
- Update Bid Schedule as needed;
- Send out monthly report of Bid Results;
- Demonstrates proper coordination skills when working with team members from other functional departments;
- And provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to clients, work-site partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
Knowledge Areas:
Principles, methods, and procedures associated with construction, landscape, and/or hardscape estimating, systems, market conditions, and trade practices; blueprints, scope of work, and specification drawings; unit costs of requisite project materials; subcontractors and suppliers; company software, Windows Operating System, and the Microsoft Office suite; time management; mathematical operations (e.g., algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions); and company customer service objectives, norms, and strategies..
Skills:
Interpret informational sources (e.g., scope of work, blueprints, specifications, construction plans) related to the pre-qualification process; analyze, organize, and prioritize information efficiently; communicate with others effectively; work within Microsoft Windows, the Microsoft Office suite, and company software; time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail; perform complex mathematical operations; exercise appropriate judgment in answering questions and releasing information; and provide excellent customer service by ensuring clients' needs are fulfilled in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion by demonstrating courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
An example of the preferred education, training, and/or experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position includes: an Associate of Arts degree and at least one (1) year of Commercial construction, landscaping, and/or hardscape estimating experience.
