A premier structural steel fabricator has an opening for anEstimatorwith talent, initiative and drive to join their team and have a critical role their growing organization. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to coordinate a team to develop an estimate
  • Determine labor and equipment costs
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
  • Understand project logistics and project schedule
  • Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
  • Review quotes and estimates with the project team
  • Prepare estimates and different levels of completion ( conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
  • Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers
  • Serve as company interface between owner & architect
  • Responsible for developing leadership, motivation, and communication with owners, subs and project team

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience working on projects ranging from one hundred thousand to five million dollars.
  • Advanced computer skills with estimating software
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Advanced Computer skills with MS Office
  • Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
  • Understand aspects of structual steel and misc metal concepts.
