Estimator|Project Manager Apply
Civil Construction Contractors, LLC, an industrial civil contractor located in Hahnville, LA, is currently accepting applications for a Civil Project Manager/Estimator for estimating and managing prospective and captured projects to work in its Hahnville office and/or projects from a field office setting. A BS degree in Construction Management is preferred but not required. Five (5) years construction experience, knowledge and related education is required.
Project Manager/Estimator job responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Review all requests for estimates
Estimate and management of projects- civil, concrete, carpentry, UG pipe, structural steel, interior remodeling
Knowledge of the technical requirements of the industry plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment
Attend pre-bid meetings
Conduct periodic site visits on ongoing projects
Review specifications, contract terms and requirements
Contract and subcontract administration.
Effectively document and manage change orders
Maintain current relationships and develop new customers.
Develop clear and detailed project scopes for the customer needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements
Conduct pre-job meetings with Supervisors to review scope of work, sequence, special requirements and safety
Monitor ongoing jobs for costs, profitability and schedule adherence
Maintain detailed and orderly estimate and project files
Must be proficient at multi-tasking and organizing activities to meet deadlines.
Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Project Manager/Estimator Other Requirements:
Candidates must adhere and enforce all safety rules, policies and procedures designated by management and safety.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid drivers license
Occasional evening, weekend, or out of town travel may be required.
All candidates must have a valid TWIC card and must be able to pass a pre-employment DISA drug screen, physical and background check
Must be able to pass required plant orientations and other training when necessary.
Project Manager/Estimator Physical Requirements:
Physical lifting of objects in weight up to 25 pounds
Climbing of ladders, stairs, and structures
Work at above grade and below grade elevations
Adapt to exposure to outside temperatures
Computer literate in MS Office Suite and others
