Base pay range $48.00/hr - $60.00/hr Ethics and Compliance Analyst (Contract) A global organization is seeking an Ethics and Compliance Analyst to join their Legal Department on a contract basis . To qualify for this, TEMP position, you must have 3-5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or corporate governance. This position supports the Senior Counsel, Compliance in overseeing the Third-Party Intermediary (TPI) Due Diligence Program, ensuring compliance with anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in compliance, legal, or corporate governance, with strong organizational and analytical skills and experience reviewing due diligence documentation. Location: Energy Corridor (Katy Freeway & Eldridge area) Start Date: Early November 2025 Assignment Length: 3-6 months (potential for extension and/or direct hire consideration down the line) Schedule: Monday-Thursday (In-office, 9-hour days) | Friday (4 hours, remote) Parking: Free or validated Pay Rate: $48-$60/hour (DOE; open to higher for exceptional experience) The position was historically held by a Senior Paralegal and is now open due to an internal transfer. Key Responsibilities Third-Party Due Diligence Review new vendor submissions for completeness and accuracy, identifying missing information or potential red flags. Escalate high-risk findings and coordinate clarifications with vendors or internal stakeholders. Use systems such as LexisNexis and Oracle ERP to screen companies and individuals for sanctions, corruption, and reputational risk. Verify vendor legitimacy and ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements. Ongoing Monitoring Support periodic due diligence refreshes based on vendor risk levels. Conduct mini-audits of transactions to confirm compliance and identify unusual patterns or concerns. Data & Record Management Maintain organized records in SharePoint and track review progress through spreadsheets or internal databases. Provide weekly updates on the status of reviews and open items. Reporting & Meetings Prepare materials for quarterly and committee meetings regarding high-risk vendor approvals. Manage the internal list of approved TPIs and distribute meeting materials in advance. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and workflow optimization. Collaborate with the Ethics & Compliance team on new system improvements and procedural updates. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with members of the Ethics & Compliance and Legal departments, including senior counsel, audit, and accounting leadership. Attend monthly Legal Department meetings to share updates on due diligence and compliance activity. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Certified Paralegal credential required 3-5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or corporate governance Background in third-party due diligence and ABAC/KYC processes preferred Proficiency in LexisNexis and Oracle ERP a plus Exceptional organization and documentation management skills Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Proactive, self-directed work style with strong written and verbal communication Interested candidates please send resume in Word format.
