JOB DESCRIPTION:

COUNTY OF LOS ANGELS DEPARTMENT PUBLIC SOCIAL SERVICES

1. Ability to create exceptionally robust data extract, transfer, and load processes that can handle terabytes of data throughput for the scope of work.

2. Develop & implement Talend Data Fabric for data integration, quality, and governance.

3. Provide expertise in Talend Administrator Center (TAC) server administration.

4. Develop Oracle database objects for the scope of work.

5. Recommend Infrastructure design understanding underlying hardware and software that supports Database and Talend.

6. Conduct performance tuning/analysis/optimization of reports and Structured Query Language (SQL).

7. Provide knowledge transfer and serve as a technical expert

8. Train County technical teams.

9. Develop and provide functional and technical specifications and other required documentation.

10. Participate and collaborate in business requirement meetings and provide reports and updates as directed by the PM.

11. Develop artifacts such as flow charts, process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and others.

12. Ensure proper testing and quality control processes are established, implemented, and followed to ensure high data integrity, volume, and frequency. 13. Ensure database compliance and security both on-prem and on-cloud.

14. Develop and maintain operational documentation for ongoing maintenance.

Experience Required Miscellaneo Niche/ Other
Experience Preferred Three (3) years' experience within the last five (5) years using Talend and developing and implementing Talend tools and technologies, including Version 6.5 or greater. Three (3) years' experience within the last seven (7) years in developing and implementing ETL processes. Three (3) years' experience within the last seven (7) years of SQL & PL/SQL programming and developing Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) objects. One (1) year experience within the last five (5) years developing BI solutions using On-prem and Cloud technologies. One (1) years' experience within the last three (3) years developing and implementing Talend Data Catalog / Data Lineage. Three (3) years' experience within the last seven (7) years working with Oracle databases 12c and above. One (1) year experience within the last three (3) years working with AWS or Microsoft Azure, or Oracle cloud technologies.
Education Required Miscellaneo Niche/ Other
Education Preferred Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related Engineering field from an accredited university.

The Department retains the right to change work schedules with 24-hour notice. DPSS will not compensate for personal cell phone calls or travel expenses.
