PETADATA is currently hiring for the position of ETL Tester for one of their clients.
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Tester to ensure the quality and integrity of our data warehouse and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL testing, proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases and data quality for ETL processes.

Validate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Develop and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and quality.

Utilize Python scripts for automation and testing purposes.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and developers to understand data requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.

Identify, document, and track defects and issues, and work with the development team for resolution.

Perform data validation and reconciliation across different data sources.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes.

Generate and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.

Proven experience in ETL testing and data validation.

Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis

Solid experience in Python programming, particularly for automation tasks.

Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Educational Qualification:Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
