Events RepresentativeThis position is responsible for attracting and developing relationships with clients and promoting event sales across all event spaces, as well as plan public events within the stadium to promote the Kansas City Monarchs mission of improving the quality of life in our community. The position is also responsible for coordinating logistics and acting as a liaison between the client and each venue's respective staff members to ensure excellent customer service. The Events Representative will provide oversight of necessary systems in place to assure users expectations are met and provide leadership for each of the venue managers. The primary role of this person will be to generate revenue and margin for The Studer Family of Companies event spaces.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsible for generating revenue through outside sales for all of KC Monarchs event spacesWork with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organizationBuild long-term relationships with new and existing customersPromote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectivesFind potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow businessManage existing clients and ensure their event needs are satisfied by working with the onsite event coordinatorsCall on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients' future needsDevelop our event portfolio for each venueHire, train, educate, and manage staff on proper event procedures and coordination activitiesCreate new ideas for eventsNegotiate and create sales presentationsResponsible for all contractsBook venues and negotiate feesDrive attendance to the event through intercompany promotional tacticsConduct research to identify new markets and customer needsPromote the event using flyers, cold calling, and social media as examples of ways to spark attentionCalculate budgets and adjust when necessaryAnalyze event performance and prepare metrics presentationEstablish work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic directivesUse appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concernsPerform all other duties as requested or directedRequirements Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesMaintain professional attitude and appearance at all timesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProven sales track record and marketing experience requiredAbility to build rapport and long-term relationshipsKnowledge of all company's products and servicesMust have excellent time management and planning skillsAbility to direct the work of othersKnowledge of food and restaurant environments and event planningWell-organized and detail-oriented with all guest servicesProficiency in Microsoft OfficeRequired to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 30 pounds) on a regular basisAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree and three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard kitchen and office equipment including computers.Position Type & Expected Hours of WorkThis is a regular, full-time, nonexempt position.
