Boulder Ridge Country Club – Lake in the Hills, Illinois Boulder Ridge Country Club is seeking a talented and driven Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations and deliver an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, team leadership, and food quality across the club’s dining outlets and events. We are looking for a chef who brings creativity, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality, while maintaining high standards of consistency, efficiency, and cost control. Compensation Salary range: $95,000 – $105,000 , commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities Develop seasonal, innovative menus that align with member preferences and club standards Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and execution across all dining outlets Recruit, train, and develop kitchen team members; foster a positive and professional kitchen culture Manage scheduling, labor costs, and staffing levels to meet business needs Oversee food purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships Maintain cost controls, including food cost, waste management, and portion consistency Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards Collaborate with club leadership on events, programming, and overall member experience Qualifications Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or private club environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team Experience with menu development, food costing, and kitchen financial management Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused environment Strong organizational and communication skills Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred What We’re Looking For A hands-on leader who leads from the front and sets the tone in the kitchen Someone who values consistency and execution just as much as creativity A chef who understands the importance of member experience in a private club setting A team builder who creates a positive, accountable, and energized culture About Boulder Ridge Country Club Boulder Ridge Country Club is a premier private club in Lake in the Hills, Illinois, offering exceptional golf, dining, and social experiences for its members.
