Parallel Employment Group, in collaboration with a prestigious restaurant in North Tonawanda, is seeking an innovative and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, creating and implementing menu items, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Your vision will help shape the culinary experience of our customers, ensuring every dish is a masterpiece. You will also mentor and train kitchen staff, manage food costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, including weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement creative and seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation consistently and to high standards.
  • Manage all kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring cost-effectiveness and proper stock management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, enforcing cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to create innovative menus and experience in menu development.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Culinary degree is preferred, but significant experience will be considered.
