Executive Director About the Company Prominent Conservative Jewish congregation IndustryReligious Institutions TypePrivately Held Employees1-10 About the Role The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the top executive and administrator, responsible for the overall operations, performance, and financial health of the organization. The successful candidate will be a community-focused leader with strong business acumen, capable of providing strategic direction, administrative oversight, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing professional team, championing a vibrant staff culture, and partnering with program leadership to advance mission-aligned strategies. The Executive Director will also be tasked with driving organizational effectiveness, leading the security strategy, and cultivating a thriving volunteer culture. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' formal staff management experience, a history of creating effective working relationships, and demonstrated financial acumen. They should be mission-driven, with an understanding of the important role of the organization in contemporary community life. The role requires a leader who is approachable, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent, with the ability to communicate effectively and facilitate difficult conversations. While fundraising experience is valued, it is not required. The Executive Director will be expected to work closely with the Senior Rabbi and President, and to be a visible representative of the organization, strengthening communication and engagement both within the community and with external partners.
