The successful candidate will be responsible for leading initiatives in talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, compensation, change management, and organizational development. This senior-level position serves as the chief HR advisor, a member of the executive leadership team, and the designated Title IX and Grievance Coordinator. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and managing HR budgets and resources efficiently. Applicants for the Executive Director of Human Resources position at the company should have a high school diploma/GED and at least six years of managerial or supervisory experience in HR, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of professional-level HR experience, with a strong background in designing and executing complex HR programs, and at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience in HR. Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is preferred, as is experience in a higher education or public sector setting. The role requires a strategic partner who can effectively manage all facets of employee relations, including performance management, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution, and who can represent the company on external committees and collaborative HR initiatives.
