The Diocese of Lake Charles is seeking a qualified and dynamic Executive Pastor to lead and support the overall ministry of the Diocese. The Executive Pastor will work closely with the Bishop and pastoral staff to ensure that the church's mission and vision are being realized effectively across all ministries. This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing operational functions, and facilitating the implementation of the church's programs and initiatives. The Executive Pastor will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment, mentoring staff, and promoting a culture of engagement among the parish community. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Catholic faith, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex ministry challenges with grace and effectiveness. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Bishop and pastoral team in setting strategic goals for the Diocese
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of church ministries and programs
  • Provide leadership and support to staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders
  • Ensure the effective implementation of various church initiatives, events, and services
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among church ministries
  • Prepare reports and budgets to support the operational goals of the Diocese
  • Foster a culture of stewardship and volunteer engagement within the parish community

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field preferred
  • Substantial experience in church leadership and management roles
  • Strong understanding of Catholic doctrine and church operations
  • Demonstrated ability to provide visionary leadership and strategic planning
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop staff and volunteers
