This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with strong technical knowledge in tree care and a proven track record in client acquisition, consultation, and relationship management.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Client Relationship ManagementIdentify, pursue, and close sales opportunities with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.Develop and manage a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring long-term relationships and customer satisfaction.Perform site assessments to evaluate tree and landscape health, providing science-based recommendations.Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and contracts tailored to client needs and property specifications.Represent the company professionally at industry events, client meetings, and networking functions.Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building trust through consistent communication, expert guidance, and follow-through.Develop a deep understanding of each client’s property, long-term goals, and preferences to provide tailored recommendations and proactive care plans.Conduct regular property walks, site assessments, and follow-ups to ensure ongoing satisfaction and to identify future opportunities for service.Build lasting relationships by demonstrating responsiveness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to client success and landscape health.Leverage CRM tools to maintain detailed records of client interactions, service history, and future needs, ensuring a personalized client experience.Collaborate with the production team before, during, and after job execution to ensure all work aligns with client expectations and scope.Resolve client concerns with urgency and diplomacy, turning challenges into opportunities to deepen trust and loyalty.Actively seek client feedback and use insights to improve services, enhance communication, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.Represent the brand as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor in every client interaction—from initial contact to post-service follow-up.Technical Expertise & ConsultingServe as a trusted advisor to clients by providing comprehensive arboricultural and horticultural knowledge.Collaborate with production teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations and arboricultural standards.Stay current on industry best practices, pest and disease management, local ordinances, and ANSI/ISA standards.Leadership & CollaborationMentor junior Sales Arborists or trainees when applicable.Partner with operations, production, and administrative staff to ensure seamless project execution.Contribute to the development of sales strategies, service offerings, and market positioning.QualificationsISA Certified Arborist (Required)TCIA CTSP Certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months (Preferred)5+ years of successful sales experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or a related fieldStrong technical knowledge of tree biology, risk assessment, soil science, and plant healthcareExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to use CRM tools, estimating software, and Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary plus uncapped commissionCompany vehicle or car allowanceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysContinuing education support and ISA/CTSP dues coveredWhy Join Us?We’re not just selling tree care—we’re growing relationships, stewarding landscapes, and leading the way in arboricultural excellence.
