Expanded Learning Program Assistant Coordinator Caliber Apply
We are seeking a committed and passionate After School Program Assistant Coordinator to design and/or lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay After School Programs at Caliber Changemakers. The purpose of the Assistant Coordinator is to provide additional daily administrative and logistical support for the Expanded Learning Program. This position provides hands-on experience for Program Instructors that are ready to take on more responsibilities, in addition to being in ratio with their students. Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have an (a) Associate Degree or higher, or (b) 48 or more college units, or (c) High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
- 1-2 years experience in a K-12 setting
- Available Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must provide negative TB clearance
- Commitment to social justice, youth leadership and development
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines
Preferred:
- Commitment to a full school year
- Commitment to participate in professional development
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Coordinator in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the program at the school site
- Support program coordinator in supervision and safety of the program
- Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
- Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom and on the campus
