We are seeking a committed and passionate After School Program Coordinator to design a program that includes academic, enrichment and physical activities for Helms Middle School.

Benefits:

  • Pay rate: $29 per hour
  • 40 hours per week (Typical work hours are from 10:00 am - 6:30 pm)
  • 16 BACR paid holidays
  • Stepping stone into a career in education or leadership

  • Medical insurance (based on total weekly hours)

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have an (a) Associate Degree or higher, or (b) 48 or more college units, or (c) High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
  • 3 years experience in a K-12 setting or other youth lead program
  • 1 year experience as a supervisor and proven ability to lead a team
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years college (minimal 48 college units) with 2 years related experience
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse district/school staff, students, parents, and community members
  • Available Monday through Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation, supervision, and safety of the program at the school site
  • Meeting agency and district recording requirements: attendance, payroll, and compliance
  • Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
  • Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom, the campus, and your team
  • Coaching and mentoring of staff
