EXPANDED LEARNING PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR @ Lawton K-8

We are currently seeking committed and passionate Instructors to lead Academic, Enrichment and Recreation activities for the Expanded Learning Program for 6th graders. Our ideal Program Instructor will have a strong dedication to youth development, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm and be able to commit to working the entire school year.

Benefits:

  • Pay rate: $23 - $25 per hour DOE
  • 16 paid BACR holidays
  • Flexible hours negotiated upon hiring (20 hours per week)
  • Stepping stone into career in education, or running your own after school program

  • Medical insurance (if working 30+ hours a week)

Requirements

  • Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 + college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam (High School Diploma or GED required)
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday until 6:00 pm for the duration of the school year (hours will be determined at time of offer, between 20 – 30 hours per week until 6:00pm)
  • Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have TB Clearance
  • Experience working with Elementary or Middle school youth preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage classroom, plan, and facilitate activities for up to 20 students
  • Create, plan, execute lesson plans for student enrichment
  • Must be able to work independently or part of a team
  • Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
  • Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and language
