Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Hairstylist with expertise in working with curly hair textures. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled, creative, and committed to providing top-notch services to our diverse clientele. Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of hair services, with a focus on curly hair styling, cutting, coloring, and treatments.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in curly hair care.
- Consult with clients to understand their hair needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Uphold the salon's standards for professionalism and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Valid cosmetology license in the state of New York.
- Proven experience as a hairstylist, with a specialization in working with curly hair.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Passion for staying current with industry trends and techniques.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive commission-based compensation structure. You will start with a generous 50% commission and have the opportunity to increase to 60% over time, making it the highest commission rate in New York.
