Holy Family School in Auburn seeks a detail oriented and committed Extended Care Coordinator, starting 2024-25 school year. HFS is a Preschool thru 8th grade Catholic school residing on the grounds of, and fully in partnership with, the Holy Family Parish. REPORTS TO: School Principal
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Hourly
WORK SCHEDULE: 24 hours/week, 38 weeks/year based on school calendar
BENEFITS: This position is part time and not benefits eligible
PAY: starting at $20.00 per hour (Any offered wage is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicants skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.)
Job Description:
- Maintains an environment that promotes cooperation, learning, and enjoyment
- Assist students on nightly homework and provide an environment of cooperative relationships within grade levels during outdoor play.
- Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in all environments after school
- Light cleaning and furniture arranging
- Create a line of communication with the parents, teachers, and principal
- Track student attendance and provide reports to administration
- Manage student behavior and communicates challenges to principal and parents
Hours of Duty:
- 7:50-8:10am, Monday-Friday
- 2:50-6:00pm, M, T, Th, F
- 1:50-6:00pm, W
- The school year goes from late August to mid-June. (No workdays in the summer months or during holiday breaks)
- Start Date: August 2024
Qualifications of the successful candidate will include:
- Model Christian values aligned with Holy Familys mission statement
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill for database use and program management
- Collaborate with administration and colleagues
- Demonstrate a love of children and knowledge
- Communicate with parents and students about student experience
- Demonstrate an enthusiasm for personal lifelong learning
- Experience in a classroom is preferred but not necessary(i.e. paraprofessional, teachers aide, classroom teacher)
- Ability to manage large and small groups of children
- Ability to relate to staff, parents, and the children in a positive manner
- Prior experience in a related position working with children
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (certification will be provided if needed)
- Background Check and VIRTUS course (Provided upon hire)
