Link to current contract and salary guides: Health Benefits: None provided Other coverage: None provided Position Summary The above extended term substitute position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, effective September 2, 2025 (anticipated through June 18, 2026 or the return of the teacher). Qualifications New Jersey Teacher of Art Certification, required Prior experience working with high school students, preferred Hold an understanding and familiarity with the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Media Arts and the National Core Arts Standards Experience with multimedia skills such as photography, digital graphics, and publishing Knowledgeable of best practices for teaching Photography I and II at the secondary level Experience with digital editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, iPad Procreate App) Interest in creating a positive culture within the high school and district community, through Media Arts Education. Essential Duties and Responsibilities See attached Job Description Technology Skills Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System. Evaluation of Performance Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
