The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, nesting, and optimizing CNC laser cutting machines to produce sheet metal parts from engineering drawings. Experience with Salvagnini and/or Trumpf software/systems is a strong plus. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse team and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to develop efficient nesting and cutting programs.
• Program and operate CNC fiber/CO2 laser cutting machines for sheet metal fabrication.
• Optimize material usage, reduce waste, and improve cutting efficiency through nesting and path adjustments.
• Perform setup, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance on laser equipment.
• Collaborate with production team to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery.
• Document programs, setups, and job processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in CNC laser programming and operation in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Experience with Salvagnini (e.g., Metal Studio, Metal Nest) and/or Trumpf (e.g., Trumpf Flux) software is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T on technical drawings.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent speaking, reading, and writing preferred).
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC/manufacturing is a plus.
