Job Description Location: Wellford, SC TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly driven Facilities & Machine Maintenance Manager – Distribution to oversee all maintenance functions supporting our Wellford distribution operations. This role is responsible for supervising and developing the maintenance team; ensuring the effective installation, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of buildings, infrastructure, machinery, and material‑handling equipment (MHE); and maintaining compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards. The position performs a wide range of complex tasks that support the facility's overall safety, efficiency, and reliability. Primary Responsibilities Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Oversee daily maintenance and repair of buildings, infrastructure, MHE, and facility systems. Manage installation, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across all assigned maintenance disciplines. Maintain HVAC, lighting systems, and energy management systems to ensure optimal performance. Direct and manage preventive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, and related systems. Ensure all work areas, tools, and equipment are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Leadership & Staff Development Supervise, train, and support Facilities and Machine Maintenance Technicians. Participate in the hiring, evaluation, and development of maintenance team members. Assign work tasks, monitor performance, and recommend corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate. Ensure 24/7 coverage to support facility usage, maintenance needs, and emergency response. Vendor & Contractor Management Prepare work orders and coordinate activities of internal teams and external contractors. Oversee contractors performing non‑capital maintenance work, ensuring timely and quality completion. Serve as primary liaison for external service providers, including fire/burglar alarm services, pest control, grounds maintenance, and others. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DHEC, NFPA, and all applicable safety policies and regulations. Partner with Emergency Services to maintain high‑level fire and life safety programs. Conduct or support investigations related to safety concerns or maintenance‑related incidents. Planning, Documentation & Cross‑Functional Support Assist in or coordinate long‑term planning related to facility safety, functionality, and appearance. Submit proposals for deferred maintenance and collaborate with architects and engineers on project reviews. Review and submit cost savings initiatives and monitor project completion. Administer the work order system for assigned locations. Attend interdepartmental meetings and act as a liaison between maintenance teams and other departments. Support energy audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility Direct Supervision Facilities/Machine Maintenance Technicians Indirect Supervision Facilities/Machine Maintenance Team Members Internal & External Contacts Internal: All levels across the organization External: Vendors, contractors, and government agencies (including OSHA and others) Minimum Requirements Education Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in a related maintenance environment. Experience Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the supervision or management of facilities and machine maintenance operations. Strong knowledge of tools, materials, equipment, and code compliance requirements across maintenance trades. Preferred certifications: Universal EPA Certification (Type I, II, III) Mainstream Engineering R410A Material‑Handling Equipment (MHE) certifications Willingness to pursue additional certifications and training as required. Knowledge & Skills Proficiency with standard concepts, practices, and procedures across maintenance disciplines. Ability to interpret building plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Strong problem‑solving abilities with the capacity for innovation and independent judgment. Ability to lead, motivate, and effectively manage a diverse maintenance team. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive motion, hand/wrist work, power grasping, and fine finger movements. Ability to work in a variety of temperature conditions within a warehouse environment.
