We are currently seeking a passionate Facilities Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and facilitate facility-related projects while promoting operational efficiency across our multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all facets of Carfair's facilities initiatives, including business case creation, project management, budget preparation, and presentations.
  • Lead and manage several projects concurrently to ensure timely execution within budget constraints.
  • Assist in lease negotiations for Carfair facilities, ensuring the company’s interests are best represented.
  • Maintain accurate CAD layouts for all facilities and manage improvement projects as assigned.
  • Facilitate the specification and installation of capital and equipment upgrades.
  • Support Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Tooling Engineering teams as needed.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives related to facility improvements.
  • Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities to help keep projects on track and deadlines met.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field; relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Project Management Certification and Lean Certification, or applicable equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of project management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for project analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Basic understanding of Oracle is essential.
  • Effective team collaboration skills with strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and facility-related project management tools.
  • Willingness to travel < 25% to Carfair facilities in the US and Canada.
