Facilities Maintenance (Temp to Perm) – Rochester, NY Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Estimated Min Rate: $19.00 Estimated Max Rate: $23.00 JOB SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Equipment/Facilities Maintenance Group Leader, the Facilities Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety throughout a manufacturing facility. This role supports daily production operations by ensuring a clean, organized, and compliant environment for employees, equipment, and visitors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clean and maintain floors throughout manufacturing, warehouse, office, and common areas using appropriate methods and equipment. Gather, segregate, and dispose of refuse and recyclables in accordance with facility guidelines. Clean windows, glass partitions, fans, ventilation covers, and mirrors. Disinfect and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and high‑touch surfaces; restock supplies as needed. Dust and clean furniture, walls, equipment housings, shelving, and non-operational surfaces. Clean and sanitize breakroom and cafeteria areas, including appliances and tables. Maintain cleanliness of plant‑floor walkways, safety lanes, and designated storage areas. Maintain loading docks, building entrances, and outdoor facility areas. Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months. Perform scheduled and unscheduled deep‑cleaning projects as directed. Identify, report, and document safety hazards or spills promptly. Comply with all manufacturing safety rules, PPE requirements, and facility policies. Maintain inventory and proper storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with SDS requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and reaching. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
