The EHS/Facilities Maintenance supports the EHS & Facilities Manager in implementing and maintaining programs that ensure environmental compliance, workplace safety, and efficient facility operations. This role contributes to a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment by assisting with audits, documentation, preventive maintenance coordination, safety training, and the daily operational needs of the facility.Environmental Health & Safety SupportAssist in the implementation and maintenance of EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements.Support safety initiatives including incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.Participate in safety committee meetings, emergency response planning, and hazard identification processes.Conduct or support training on safety topics such as PPE usage, lockout/tagout, forklift safety, SDS awareness, and other required topics.Maintain safety documentation, training records, safety data sheets (SDS), and EHS inspection logs.Assist with internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and follow-up actions.Facilities & Maintenance CoordinationCoordinate facility maintenance tasks, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and structural upkeep, by working with internal maintenance teams and external contractors.Maintain facility records such as preventive maintenance schedules, equipment inspection logs, and service agreements.Support the management of utilities, janitorial services, waste disposal, pest control, and security systems.Assist in capital project coordination (facility upgrades, office moves, layout changes).Monitor and report facility issues, responding to employee work requests and escalating items when needed.Administrative & Compliance SupportPrepare reports and documentation related to EHS metrics, facility performance, and maintenance activities.Track and maintain EHS supplies and PPE inventory.Coordinate facility inspections, safety walkthroughs, and compliance checks.Ensure signage, evacuation maps, and safety labels are up to date and compliant.Competencies: (Special Authorizations)Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with varying priorities.Responsibility: (Area)Responsible for assistance in keeping compliance with all company policy principles and regulations on Environmental, Health, Safety, and Facilities.Professional /Job experience:Specialist in the field of environmental protection / work safetyGood PC knowledge (MS Office)Strong commercial and technical expertise Ability to learn and take directions from current Specialist Knowledge in the field Required Training:Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably automotive.Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations is required.Familiarity with maintenance management systems and facility operations is preferredPersonal skills required:Self ConfidenceAbility to think analytically.Strong integrity, credibility.Logical and precise thinking.Ability to understand operational correlations / processes and to act appropriately.Teamwork.Ability to think and act economically and to deal responsibility with resources.Strong co-operation and target-oriented thinking.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to wear required PPE and navigate the manufacturing floor regularly.Work Environment:Work is performed in both office and production settings. The role may involve exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and environmental hazards typical of a manufacturing plant.
