In this afternoon shift position, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. If you're a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for keeping equipment running at peak performance, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance and Repair:Perform preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions using diagrams, manuals, and precision instruments.Dismantle devices to remove defective parts, utilizing hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.Adjust functional parts and control instruments using hand tools and measuring devices.Problem Solving and Diagnostics:Locate sources of mechanical problems through observation and listening.Inspect used parts and determine dimensional changes using measuring instruments.Inventory and Resource Management:Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.Anticipate needed items and place/expedite orders.Conserve maintenance resources through efficient use of equipment and supplies.Documentation and Communication:Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing data.Provide mechanical maintenance information to production workers and team members.Maintain continuity by documenting and communicating actions.Safety and Compliance:Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures and regulations.Control downtime by informing production workers of preventative maintenance.Comply with OSHA and GMP training requirements.Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Technical Skills:Ability to read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and specifications.Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments.Ability to use machine shop instrumentation.Communication and Reasoning:Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and use hands regularly.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with team assistance.Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.Preferred Certifications:Hi-LO, Electrical certification.Computer Skills:Basic Email skills.Work Environment:Exposure to moving mechanical parts.Loud noise environment.Afternoon shift.
