Shift: Second Shift | 03:00 PM 11:30 PM (Hours may vary based on business needs)
Pay Range: $21.32 $35.00/hr (Based on experience)
Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Engineer
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance tasks in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted operations, while adhering to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and monitoring of facility and production equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility systems, including HVAC, boilers, BMS, and utilities.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and accurate maintenance records.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS) and utility systems (purified water, HVAC, etc.).
  • Conduct carpentry, plumbing, and minor construction work as needed.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and safety in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Assist contractors and issue work permits for facility-related projects.
  • Participate in equipment validation, calibration, and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Adhere to cGMP, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
  • Support other departments (Manufacturing, Packaging, Warehouse) as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical or college certificate/degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of recent (within the last 2 years) experience in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance.
    • Experience in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar regulated environment preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of HVAC, boilers, plumbing, BMS, and facility electrical systems.
    • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and GMP compliance.
    • Carpentry and general building maintenance skills.
    • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
    • Basic computer literacy and English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces or elevated areas.
  • Capable of working indoors and outdoors under varying conditions.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE, including respirators, when required.
  • Adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards is mandatory.
