This role leads union engineering staff, ensures reliability of critical power and cooling systems, manages vendors, and drives safe, efficient facility performance. The ideal candidate brings strong people leadership experience and hands-on knowledge of UPS and critical cooling systems within a data center setting.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of union engineers (CWA)Oversee daily building operations, preventive maintenance, and work ordersEnsure reliability of UPS, critical power, and cooling systemsManage vendors, schedules, payroll, and contractor performanceReview and assign ServiceNow tickets and monitor SLAsMaintain compliance with safety standards and operational proceduresSupport client interactions and site reportingRequirements5–8 years of experience in data center or mission-critical facilitiesPrior people management experience (union environment preferred)Working knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers)Experience with preventive maintenance programsFamiliarity with ServiceNow or similar CMMSBachelor’s degree in Engineering preferredRelevant licenses/certifications highly preferred
