What To Expect The Operations Project Manager will work closely with members of the Operations Management, Infrastructure Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Controls and Procurement departments to complete projects and continue operations during production. This role will supervise all on-site operations construction including scheduling of trade contractors, vendor tool installations, resolving day to day construction issues, performing day to day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule and budget. What You'll Do Successfully deliver, design build, and self‑performed construction projects Support and lead in house labor and competing priorities Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of operations projects, enabling the teams to solve problems and prioritize execution Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and companywide Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escape roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary, including the ability to clearly communicate risks Employ a can‑do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals Provide the best product for your respective project’s customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise Track and understand all project costs at a fundamental level, challenging design revision, RFIs and change orders to ensure Tesla receives the best value What You’ll Bring Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience Ideally 6 years minimum of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, and Architectural, Mechanical, electrical, life safety and controls scopes High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Construction Cost/Data Analysis Willingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your times through challenging projects Ability to work within a high‑performance, cross‑functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full‑time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans – plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family‑building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High‑Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short‑term and long‑term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back‑up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $86,400 - $275,400/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
