Manufacturing Operations Seasonal Assistant

R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. We are hiring a Factory Maintenance Assistant to support the factory through regular machinery maintenance, tool management, and support through environmental health and safety monitoring and maintenance.  

Responsibilities:

·         Maintain large and small machinery on a regular schedule and as needed, including:

o   Diagnosing and fixing problems with equipment, and performing repairs according to established guidelines.

o   Performing preventative maintenance.

o   Coordinating with managers to schedule regular maintenance.

o   Communicate and manage vendors for external maintenance support and supply.

·         Ensure that all operations are being carried out in accordance with company policies and safety regulations including monitoring EHS and OSHA requirements and advising leadership on any issues and necessary actions.

o   Train team members on maintenance and safety.

o   Support training on new machinery.

o   Maintain safety manuals, database of Safety Datasheets (SDS), and required health and safety signage.

·         Maintain the shop and workstations: Work with staff and factory management to keep the shop and factory floor clean, organized, and safe.

·         Maintain consumables inventory and tracking.

·         Work with factory management team to ensure the team has the appropriate tools.

·         Set up and breakdown workstations.

Requirements

·         Prior experience as a shop assistant inside a jewelry studio or similar manufacturing space

·         Naturally organized and proactive

·         Experience maintaining and troubleshooting jewelry hand tools and equipment including laser welders, laser engravers, steamers, tumblers, compressed air systems, torch systems.

·         Experience following written instructions provided by equipment manufacturers (in the form of manuals, data sheets, emails, or other written communications) to diagnose and repair jewelry equipment.

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer fluency

·         Works efficiently with a sense of urgency

·         Proactive and clear communicator

·         Strong interpersonal skills, with a sense of teamwork and camaraderie. 

·         CAD or experience in tool or jig design a plus

·         Spanish fluency preferred

Base pay $60,000 - $70,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
