Associate Attorney
One of the most preeminent matrimonial law firms in the nation, with offices in Chicago and Lake Forest, Illinois, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage cases in Cook, Lake, and DuPage counties
Maintain client relationships and confidentiality
Appear in court at pretrial conferences, hearings, trials and prove ups
Draft pleadings, Marital Settlement Agreements, Final Allocation Judgments and Parenting Plans, pretrial memorandum, and correspondence
Attend and participate in depositions, client meetings and settlement conferences
Review and analyze documents relative to assets, liabilities, income and expenses
Manage client relationships and communication
Perform legal research and writing
Advise clients and negotiate with opposing counsel
Collaborate with fellow attorneys regarding settlement and trial strategies
Requirements:
Illinois Bar License
Three (3) six (6) years' experience in civil litigation, domestic relations experience
Exceptional writing and analytical skills
Experience interacting with clients directly
Ability to assess, prioritize, problem solve and execute multiple assignments in a high volume and fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet tight deadlines
Experience working in a team environment
Self-starting, intrapreneurial mindset, with desire to grow and learn
