Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA), part time to join our healthcare team. This position has the potential to become a full-time position as business grows. We are a brand-new start-up company, looking for the right fit for the community. The FNP/PA will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. This role requires clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to individuals and families. We are a Family Medicine Clinic so we do see children and adult patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including sonography, and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Provide health coaching to patients for lifestyle modifications and chronic disease management.
- Document patient interactions accurately in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law and durable medical equipment (DME) regulations relevant to patient care.
- Provide specialized care for senior and pediatric patients, addressing their unique health concerns.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA).
- Valid state nursing license with prescriptive authority.
- Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing and patient care management.
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Knowledge of health coaching principles is preferred.
- Experience working in hospital settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation law and DME processes is a plus.
