Kalcevic Farms Inc is a multi-generational family farm with a focus towards innovative and process orientated operations. We are located east of Denver Colorado. We produce dry land wheat, corn, milo, and millet. We are a committed group of individuals that gain satisfaction and enjoyment from being deeply involved at the producer level of production agriculture.
We are seeking equipment operators to join our team at both of our locations in Bennett and Lindon Colorado. This is a unique opportunity to showcase valuable experience and participate in the success of a modern small grains operation. We have established a long-standing production plan lasting125 years.
As Operator I, you will focus on efficient field and crop production processes. Your role captures the essence of farming by using your agronomic and equipment knowledge. Your ability to execute spraying, planting, and harvesting operations allows you to participate in the production of crops such as wheat, corn, milo, millet. Using your individual leadership and personal management skills you will foster creative solutions with our other team members.
Job Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate various types of farm equipment. Ranging from sprayers, combines, semis with grain trailers, large tractors, trucks, pickups, and all the implements associated.
Apply crop nutrients and weed mitigation products to crops with the use of a John Deere sprayer. Assist with the correct products for targeting proper times and application rates. Keep detailed electronic records of all applications and inventory with the use of our software systems.
Assist onsite manager with field crop production processes. Planning of production resources such as manpower, machinery, equipment, tools, facilities, and raw materials, needed to execute dryland crop production.
Verify and enter accurate reports and data for inventory and process management through online and computer systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Participate in hauling and facility maintenance duties when not involved in specific crop activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid drivers license required.
Obtain a minimum of a class B CDL (no restrictions) in first year of employment.
Currently hold or obtain pesticide applicators license.
Previous pesticide application experience preferred.
Experience with computer applications and mobile applications.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to work in variable weather, stand, bend twist, lift, pull, push and turn items up to 50 pounds.
Able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Farm experience preferred.
Mechanical skills and large equipment maintenance experience and welding experience a plus.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $16-$26 dollars per hour based on experience. Average annual hours are 2,200-2,600 per year. Any hours over 56 per week are paid at time and a half.
401K retirement savings option with a company matching contribution after the first year.
