We seek a hands-on, collaborative, empathetic, and strategic Account Manager to join our team at Advancing Eco Agriculture. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with our customers, which include farmers, agricultural producers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture industry. The candidate best suited for this position is a proactive and diligent self-starter; a resourceful individual with a foundation in customer relationship management. Background and knowledge of botanical science or agronomy are strongly preferred. It is vital that the person who fills this role aligns with our approach, is mission-driven, and possesses the capacity to quickly familiarize themselves with AEA products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

      • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, throughout the customer lifecycle.
      • Understand customer needs and objectives, and align AEA's products and services to meet those goals.
      • Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, managing shipping, ordering, and receiving, and providing timely and effective answers and solutions.

Inside Sales and Business Development:

      • Collaborate with the regional farm services team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and new revenue potential with existing customers.
      • Meet or exceed customer retention targets through effective account management and relationship building.
      • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales plans.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

      • Analyze customer data, market trends, and industry insights to provide informed forecasts and recommendations.
      • Coordinate and prepare regular reports on sales performance, crop protocol performance, customer feedback, customer retention, expansion potential, and market trends.

Product Knowledge:

      • Stay informed about AEA's products, services, current trends in agricultural markets, and a broad range of factors impacting agricultural producers in the assigned region.
      • Provide customers with safe product handling and application knowledge to ensure optimal utilization and satisfaction.

Collaboration and Communication:

      • Collaborate with internal teams, including farm services, research and development, marketing, administration, and operations, to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
      • Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on products, services, marketing campaigns, and developments in regenerative agriculture.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a comparable professional experience
  • Prior experience in account mgmt, sales, or customer service within the agricultural sector preferred
  • Strong understanding of regenerative farming practices and crop management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping farmers succeed
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Google Suite
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet client needs
  • Alignment with AEA's mission to promote regenerative agriculture and change the way the world grows food
