- Prepare fields for planting. Pick rocks and operate tractors to till the soil. Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, fertilize, harvest and haul grain and soybean crops. Maintain and repair irrigation systems. Load and unload crops. Transport crops to storage facilities. Operate and maintain grain handling equipment. General farm duties such as servicing and cleaning equipment, facility maintenance and shop work.
