Job Summary


Please follow the instructions in the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"How to Apply\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" section.

Provides office support in the Counseling Department. Duties include but are not limited to: providing excellent customer service via telephone, in person, and virtually maintaining student/client confidentiality; scheduling and checking in appointments, determining needs and directing students; data entry, word processing;
searching for and downloading/emailing career assessments, filing, making copies, and distributing mail. Other projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Calendar, Google Docs
  • Ability to maintain a courteous, friendly manner when working with students and staff virtually, on the phone, or in person; demonstrates patience and excellent
  • customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining attention to details
  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Ability to keep a work schedule and present yourself in a professional manner
  • Ability to keep work schedule

  • Student must be attending Phoenix College during the current semester (enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits).
  • In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.
  • FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
  • FWS requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and confirmation of federal work-study eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
  • FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.
