JOB DESCRIPTION

Roux Logistics Inc. is now hiring full-time FedEx delivery driver to service a specialty route in the greater New Orleans area (70115)(70118). Our drivers operate out of the FedEx terminal located in Covington, LA. This is a Monday-Friday position from 11am-6pm.

Delivery Driver Basic Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a valid drivers license with a chauffeur's endorsement or CDL
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations
• Pass a DOT physical and drug test
• Pass a FedEx Ground criminal background check
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Be able to safely lift/carry up to 140lbs.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities:

• Navigate an assigned route with a timed pickup/drop-off schedule
• Load, unload, organize, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all time
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards skills
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
• Deliver and pickup a variety of items varying in size and weight
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients complaints
• Use a hand held device to scan packages and code delivery information
• Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions
• Able to get in and out of a truck and walk up and down stairs throughout your shift

Job Type: Full-time pay: $140 per day

Qualifications:

• verifiable paid driving: 1 year (Required)
• verifiable commercial driving : 1 year (Preferred)
• verifiable delivery driver: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Covington, LA 70433: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certifications:

• Driver's License with a chauffeur's endorsement or a CDL (Required)
