Fiber Lab Technician Apply
Our client is a Minnesota company who manufactures and markets many branded consumer products. Their history dates to back the mid 1800's.

Our client has an opening for a "high-energy" Fiber Lab Technician.
The commercial lab is fast-paced and high-volume. They use "wet chemistry" and high-tech instrumentation to test food samples ranging from ingredients to finished products. The results will be used, by customers, to support claims, nutritional data, and monitor regulatory compliance.
This position is responsible for
- Testing, analyzing, and reporting accurate and timely results for over 6 test methods with multiple method variations across the Fiber Lab
- Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines
- Execution of Food Testing Methods
- Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
- Meet Quality control and ISO 17025 requirements
- Maintain a work environment that complies with safety rules
- Cross-functional support as business needs dictate
Salary: $23/ hr (long term contract)
Schedule: FT 40 hrs, 4-10hr shifts or 5-8hr shifts, OT as needed
Location: Minneapolis, MN

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-5 years of directly relatable working experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree - Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or related science field Preferred!
- Proficient in basic laboratory skills: accurate weighing, pipetting, quantitative transfer of solutions and samples, ability to work with care around hazardous compounds, preparation of solutions, calculation of results, and evaluation of the quality of results
- Proficient in the operation of common lab equipment as well as experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Confidence in troubleshooting and approaching issues with a solution mindset.
- Computer application knowledge and proficient MS Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the ability to learn additional applications as needed
- Significant attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to be flexible depending on workload
- Demonstrated flexibility and agility in work environment
- Collaborative team player
- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical background.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new applications
- Ability to work a flex work schedule as needed- to accommodate longer shift hours or weekend work.
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
- The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
