Fiber Optic Technician About the Opportunity: We are actively hiring Fiber Optic Technicians for a large-scale data center project in the Port Washington WI area. This is a great opportunity to get on a high-profile project with consistent hours, competitive pay, and long-term potential. If you have experience with fiber optics, low voltage, or structured cabling and want to work on mission-critical projects, we want to talk. Key Responsibilities: Install, route, and secure fiber optic and low-voltage cabling Perform fiber terminations (LC, SC, MPO preferred) Assist with fiber testing (OTDR, power meter a plus) Install cable trays, pathways, and supports Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Work alongside project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards Requirements: 2+ years of experience in fiber optics, low voltage, or structured cabling Experience in data centers or commercial construction preferred Ability to read prints and follow install standards Familiarity with fiber termination and testing is a plus Reliable transportation Ability to work overtime and travel if needed Must be able to pass pre-employment screening Preferred (Not Required): Data center experience Fiber splicing or testing experience BICSI or similar certifications Benefits: $33.00–$45.00 per hour depending on experience Overtime available Per diem offered for qualified travelers Steady work (40–60 hours/week typical) Opportunity to move to future data center projects High-demand data center work in a rapidly growing industry Strong earning potential with overtime and per diem Opportunity to get on long-term, mission-critical projects
