Job Description:Job Title: Field Care Supervisor (Field Based)LocationPrimarily field based across service areas, with occasional working from the Muve Homecare office in Birmingham.Hours of Work40 hours per week, worked flexibly to meet service needs.This role includes evenings, nights, and weekend working and is not limited to Monday–Friday office hours.Reporting ToRegistered ManagerRole PurposeThe Field Care Supervisor will support the Registered Manager in the safe, effective and compliant delivery of homecare services. The role is predominantly field based and involves providing direct operational oversight of care packages, supporting staff, maintaining quality standards and ensuring people we support receive person-centred, safe and effective care.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational & Quality AssuranceUndertake regular spot checks on care packages to ensure quality, compliance and person-centred practiceComplete field-based supervisions and support staff developmentMonitor care delivery in line with care plans, risk assessments and CQC expectationsSupport the safe start-up of new care packages, including staff support and on-site oversightStaff Support & LeadershipAct as a point of contact for staff queries and operational issuesProvide guidance and support to staff working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, and Challenging BehavioursPromote best practice in line with company policies, PMVA guidance, and safeguarding principlesReporting & GovernanceComplete accurate reports following spot checks, incidents and reviewsEscalate concerns and provide clear feedback to the Registered ManagerWork collaboratively with Clinical Leads to support complex packagesSupport compliance with CQC regulations, including Regulation 12 (Safe Care and Treatment)Systems & AdministrationUse digital care planning systems (e.g. Birdie) to review care records, observations, and staff notesEnsure timely and accurate documentation and reportingEssential RequirementsProven experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs and Challenging BehavioursExperience working within complex homecare, supported living or community-based servicesAbility to work flexibly, including nights and weekendsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage paid)Strong communication, organisational and leadership skillsGood understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred careRight to work in the UKDesirable CriteriaExperience in a Field Care Supervisor, Senior, or Lead roleExperience using digital care planning systems such as BirdiePMVA (or equivalent) trainingNVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)What We OfferMileage reimbursementSupportive management and clinical leadershipOpportunities for professional developmentA values-led organisation focused on quality and outcomes
