O’Connell Electric Company is seeking an entry level Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Field Engineer. This full‑time position will work closely with the EPC Manager, supporting Project Managers, customers and clients. The role bridges the gap between project management and the on‑site construction team, overseeing the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of a project to ensure it meets quality, budget, and schedule goals. This position will support our Lake Mariner Data project located in Barker/Somerset, NY. Responsibilities Assist with site inspections to ensure construction adheres to design plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. Help oversee the procurement and material management processes, ensuring the right materials are delivered to the site on time. Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the construction process. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trade partners to ensure seamless project execution. Provide detailed insights and status reports on project progress, highlighting any areas requiring attention. Communicate, model, and continuously reinforce company culture and values in a collaborative way with other team members. Organize project documents and drawings using designated software according to corporate policies. Manage day‑to‑day administrative items such as RFIs, submittals, contracts, etc. Perform project close‑out and cost reconciliation. Qualifications B.S. in Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent. 0–3 years of electrical engineering or civil work experience preferred. Must demonstrate understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, and general construction techniques. Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Self‑motivated and eager to learn. Interacts effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others. Valid driver’s license required. Compensation The minimum and maximum annual salary that O’Connell Electric Company, Inc. believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting is between $60,800 and $76,000 annually. O’Connell Electric understands that compensation depends on numerous factors including geographic location, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate.
