Field Engineer – Heavy Civil / Infrastructure Why this role is good for you Our client, a Massachusetts contractor committed to training and developing the next generation of leaders, is seeking a Field Engineer. You’ll be given real responsibility, strong mentorship, and clear growth paths into project management. What you’ll be working on (and more) Support field execution on heavy-civil jobs in highways, bridges, marine, rail, and transit facilities—layout, quantities, submittals/RFIs, QC/QA, and day-to-day coordination that keeps crews productive and safe. What you’ll do day-to-day Assist with field engineering, layouts, and schedules. Support project managers and superintendents. Maintain documentation and technical reporting. Help enforce safety and quality in the field. What you get Full health, dental, and vision coverage. 401(k) with company match and PTO. Mentorship and training from senior staff. Exposure to large-scale civil projects and career progression opportunities. What you bring Four-year engineering or construction management degree. Valid Driver’s License required. Familiarity with HCSS, Vista, CAD, or Primavera preferred. Teamwork, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to grow.
